Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a floor, not a finish line — if you cannot use part of this site, that is a problem worth fixing.
What we have done
Text and background colours are checked against WCAG contrast ratios rather than judged by eye. The site is navigable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content. Headings follow a logical order and there is one page title per page. Images carry alternative text. Animation is minimal and is switched off entirely for anyone whose system requests reduced motion. Text reflows without loss of content at 200% zoom.
Known limitations
Video content does not yet have captions on every item. Where a transcript is available we link to it directly beneath the video.
Reporting a barrier
Email editorial@echoesofafricatour.com with the page address and what went wrong, including the assistive technology you were using. We treat access barriers as bugs.
