Our editorial purpose

This site exists to be genuinely useful to people interested in African travel, heritage and culture — whether or not they ever book anything. If the only value here were as an advertisement, it would not be worth publishing.

Our relationship with LABUSA Travel

LABUSA Travel is a group travel company operating journeys across Africa. It funds and produces Echoes of Africa.

Commercial transactions — quotes, bookings, deposits, traveller profiles — all happen on labusatravel.com. This site does not take payments or process bookings.

How content is produced

Articles and guides are reviewed by an editor, checked against sources, and dated, and carry a named contributor where one is credited. Our full process is set out in our editorial standards.

How commercial links are handled

Links to LABUSA Travel appear where they are genuinely relevant — on a destination hub for a country LABUSA Travel operates in, for example. They are visually distinct from editorial content and carry a disclosure line.

These links are tagged so we can measure how often they are used. We do not add keyword-stuffed links, sitewide footer link blocks, or reciprocal link arrangements intended to manipulate search rankings.

Sponsored and partner content

We do not currently publish sponsored content. If that changes, any such piece will carry a clear label at the top of the page identifying who paid for it, and it will never be presented as independent editorial.

Reporting a correction

Email editorial@echoesofafricatour.com with the page address and the problem. We publish dated correction notices on the affected page rather than editing errors away silently.
