Alex William Machage holds a master’s degree in Natural Resources Assessment and Management and a bachelor’s degree in History. He is Managing Director of Eastern Hills Expedition, a Tanzania-based tour operator.
His research interests include water, population, land use, and natural-resource management, and his work has appeared in Tanzanian journals. He is also a founding board member of YAWE Foundation Tanzania, a local nonprofit organization.
